Services
Consultation
We offer consultations in the broad range of general practice, with special interest in:
- Women's health
- Travel medicine (approved yellow fever vaccination provider)
- Preventative medicine
- Mental health
- Specific disease management (eg asthma, diabetes)
- Counselling
We believe your health is best managed by continuous care from the same source, rather than taking different problems to different places. But we will refer you for specialist opinions, investigations and treatment when necessary.
We prefer consultations by appointment, but we will be flexible with urgent requests. An appointment system keeps waiting times shorter, and allows patients to see the same doctor each time. If you require a longer consultation, please advise the receptionist so that a longer time can be arranged. We do keep gaps in our appointment book to accommodate emergency consults.
We offer home visits and after hour calls to our regular patients in the local area. Fees do apply.
We maintain a recall system to inform patients of follow-ups, immunisations and preventative health reminders. Please advise us if you prefer not to be on the recall system.
We treat patients with Workcover related injuries. We expect patients to pay the full amount at consultation.
Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of medical information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff or persons authorised by law. For your privacy and confidentiality, we do not relay results over the phone. We may ring to let you know when the results are available and arrange an appointment for you to come in for review.
If you have a complaint please discuss it with your doctor. We will do our best to make things better. If you are not satisfied you may contact the Health Complaints Commissioner on (02) 9219 7444.
